Andrew’s Football Journey
Andrew Bunnell has been playing football since he was 10 years old. He started out in the Burnsville Athletic Club (BAC) in 5th grade as a defensive Safety. In 6th grade his coaches and he discovered his talent for kicking in football. He would be kicking long distances during kickoffs. By 7th and 8th grade he was attempting extra points in games, and making them through the uprights!In 9th and 10th grade upon joining the Burnsville High School Football program, he focused all his energy towards kicking in practices. It paid off! As a junior he was starting on junior varsity for kick offs and extra points. He even completed several successful onside kicks, the technique of which his has mastered over the years.
By senior year, he started for the varsity team under those infamous Friday Night Lights. As a senior he scored 11 points this year in kicking. These points include a game time 1 field goal and 8 extra points. His twin sister holds for him as he secures the points by kicking through the uprights every time.

Awards

Andrew won the Dick Hanson Scholar Athlete award which is presented to an individual on the team that demonstrates excellence on and off the field

Andrew won the Most Improved Football Player award which recognizes a player for their exceptional skill growth from their time as a freshman to a senior.
